Mission: 40 for 40! A 40 day Sadhana

Sadhana, at its essence, is a profound expression of self-love. In dedicating ourselves to the practice, we honor the innate worth and divinity within us. It is a gentle reminder that we are deserving of the time, attention, and care required to nourish our souls. Through sadhana, we cultivate a deep sense of self-compassion, embracing our flaws, honoring our strengths, and recognizing our inherent wholeness. It is a sacred act of self-care, an offering of love to the deepest recesses of our being. As we nurture the flame of self-love through the practice of sadhana, we awaken to the beauty and brilliance that resides within us, illuminating our path with the radiant glow of divine grace.

As I am writing this, it is my 40th birthday. Since I’ve started on this path, I have continued to notice areas I am unconsciously, and sometimes consciously, lacking in. For me, this includes distracting myself with food, substances, activities and content so that I do not need to sit with myself. Many of us have this issue, and most of us don’t even realize it.

My intention with this mission is to break away and create space from my dependency on the external. My Sadhana, or daily spiritual practice, will be to get to the mat for breathwork and meditation. I intend to use this sadhana as a way to create space in my mind and quiet the chatter. The objective is not to only do this for 40 days, but to create a change that is lasting. What is your intention?
